Chris and Joy struggle to communicate with a new foreign student. Superbook takes them back in time when God created multiple languages. Joy is struggling to babysit Charlie, who is quite disobedient. With Superbook's help, Joy witnesses how God helped Elizabeth to have a baby and realizes that with God's help, she can see little Charlie in a whole new light. By disobeying his father, Chris causes a robot to destroy the yard. Superbook takes Chris to meet Eliezer, who is on his way to find a wife for Isaac.
Through this journey, Chris learns the importance of following instructions. No one seems to be following Joy's orders and her service project is falling apart. Through the story of Naaman, Joy returns home with a changed attitude about service and humility, and applies it to her project.
Chris believes he is too young to be called by God to help Jason. Superbook takes them back to a time when the young Samuel is called by God to serve Israel. When Christ returns home, he acts on his calling, and makes an attempt to befriend Jason. Even though King Saul tries to kill David, David shows mercy.
When Chris returns home, he decides to leave judgment to God. Chris has to tutor two class clowns, and through their antics, he wants to give up. Superbook whisks Chris to meet Nehemiah, who is mocked for rebuilding Jerusalem's walls. Through Nehemiah, Chris learns to do the job God gave him and ignore mockers. Joy plans to get even with Barbara, who shared an embarrassing video about Joy. Before getting even, Superbook takes Joy back in time to witness miracles performed by Elisha against the Syrian army.
Joy then decides not to get even with Barbara. Joy wants to help a disadvantage girl, but isn't sure how to help. Superbook sends Joy to meet Jesus and see him perform the miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead! Joy returns home and creates a series of amusement park rides for her to enjoy.
Chris's father leaves him in charge of a challenging project. When he is unsure what to do, Superbook takes the him to meet King Solomon. Solomon encourages Chris to pray for wisdom. After returning, Chris, with God's wisdom, solves the challenges. When Joy is swamped by many projects, Superbook takes her to meet Daniel in King Nebuchadnezzar's palace. Through prayer, God gives Daniel insight into the King's dream.
After Joy returns home, she seeks God in prayer for solutions to her problems. After Superbook shares the story of the Good Samaritan with the kids, Joy decides to help those in need.
How can a few things possibly be enough? The two boys could never be friends, could they? Joy wants to escape from the hospital, where she must have her tonsils out. How can she find confidence to face the surgery? Chris and Gizmo give Joy a virtual tour of the world, but she is shocked by all the suffering she sees. How can one person make a difference? Chris has a chance to become a starter on his soccer team when he discovers some teammates cheat to win.
Should he join their scheme? Should he follow her instructions anyway? After his grandpa dies, Chris and his grandma find an old family Bible.
Whyatt wants to bake Baby Joy a special birthday cake, but he doesn't know how. Super Why and his friends get the info they need from a rhyming chef. Whyatt wants to play baseball better, but he keeps missing the ball. The superhero readers join some fairytale heroes gearing up for a soccer match. Poor Pig is stuck at the top of his new slide! The Super Readers fly into the Humpty Dumpty book to find out how he'll get down from that wall. Red doesn't feel like a princess, so how will she fit in at Sleeping Beauty's party?
The Super Readers magically leap into the book of Cinderella. Whyatt told a lie and feels really guilty! The Super Readers visit Pinocchio, a boy who also fibbed and whose nose is growing right before his eyes. Princess Pea's father is too busy to help her tie her skates. The Super Readers visit another princess and her funny little helper, Rumpelstiltskin.
The Super Readers catch up with Santa and his reindeer as they gallop from rooftop to rooftop. It's Halloween in Storybrook Village, and Pig is so frightened that he won't go trick-or-treating with his friends! Princess Pea wants to play in a rainbow, but her mother says it simply can't be done. Pig and his brothers are building a train set, but Pig's negative attitude has stopped him in his tracks.
Princess Pea and Red are partners in a potato sack race but can't decide whether to go slow and steady or super fast. When Baby Joy says her first words, Whyatt is the only one around to hear her, and he can't convince anyone that she actually talked. Princess Pea's twirls are falling flat and her dance recital is just days away. Whyatt has a secret admirer and he wants to know who it is.
The Super Readers venture into the tale of "Little Miss Muffet" and meet a spider who is frightening his friend right off her tuffet. The Readers fly into the story of "The Ant and the Grasshopper" and see that the grasshopper is unprepared for winter because he didn't plan ahead.
The Super Readers check out "The Frog Prince" and meet a princess who can't see eye to eye with her friend. Whyatt can't find Mr. Lizard, and the Super Readers come to the rescue when they meet Little Bo Peep, who's hot on the trail of her lost sheep. The Super Readers dive into "The Emperor's New Clothes" and meet someone -- besides Pig -- who doesn't want to look silly in front of his friends.
To learn why Whyatt's family is acting cagey, he and the Super Readers enter the tale of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses," who are just as secretive. The Super Readers shrink down to the size of ants in the story "Thumbelina" and join teeny tiny Thumbelina on her quest to find her missing brother.
Turns out, he isn't so beastly after all. The Super Readers dash into the Australian folk tale "Tiddalick the Frog" and meet a funny amphibian whose puddle jumping is using up all the water. The Super Readers travel into the story of "Sleeping Beauty" to meet a princess who loves sleeping. They must apply their literacy powers to wake her.
The Super Readers fly into the story of "The Magic Porridge Pot" to rescue a little girl whose magical pot just won't stop making porridge. Whyatt gets to pick one toy from the toy store, but there are just too many choices! Red's friends would love to try some of her delicious apples, but Red wants to keep them all for herself! Pig and his brothers want to build a tree house, but they're so busy squabbling, they'll never get the job done. Run, run as fast as you can!
