Some of the challenges included: "wear blue" on his skin , "sell someone rotten flesh" which he completed by selling to Keralis , who gave him two stacks of diamonds for it , and "give the treasure island another go" which resulted in Grian gaining several stacks of diamond ore, which he had lost before when he was excavating Iskall's Treasure Island.

After Impulse discovered Grian's secret base as Grian had gone afk next to a ringing bell inside his secret base Impulse revealed that he had faked having a secret base in Grian's base in the first place.
The base was instead inside of Bdub's castle. BdoubleO , ImpulseSV and Grian decided to take the secret base game to Keralis's city, as there were many hiding places in all Keralis's buildings. Grian, ImpulseSV , BdoubleO , and GoodTimesWithScar who had just joined the secret base squad built a massive sewer room under Keralis's city, which they plan to use as a connection between all of their secret bases in Keralis's base.
Points are awarded to those who move parts of Keralis's base to the sewers. Making Keralis laugh would also award points. Just after declaring GoodTimesWithScar the winner due to his theft of an airplane, Keralis and ZombieCleo burst in and ended the games, as the games were only planned to go on until they were discovered.

Grian's Season 8 starter base is a house made mostly of blocks from 1. He uses moss, vines, glowberries, mossy cobblestone, and leaves to give the base an overgrown feel. A telescope with a lens of amethyst blocks and a body of dark oak sits on the top roof of the base.
Inside the base, he uses calcite for the first floor, with spruce planks being used for the staircase and the second floor. Built into the floor of the first floor is a wool farm made of moss and lime stained glass.

The base is going to be located in the mountain near Boatem.
Currently, he has started work on the base, starting on tearing down parts of the mountain to make a really big cave with a winding path, and draining parts of the ocean of water for said cave. The Tree Battle is a small-scale war occurring at the very start of the season, mainly between MumboJumbo and Grian.
It started due to Grian wanting to test how far MumboJumbo would go in order to replant every tree he has to cut down. Grian moved the Boatem Pole to the center of the area and and asked impulseSV to make a hole to the bedrock, after which the Boatem crew proceeded to sacrifice GoodTimesWithScar in the hole. Tegg is a game about hiding the Dragon Egg from other Hermits in your base.
The first player to hide the Dragon Egg in their base for Minecraft days in total wins the diamond blocks used by the Hermits to sign-up for the game. The game was won by Cubfan during his Season 8 Episode Grian is known for creating building tutorial videos on YouTube. He is also known for having participated in the Minecraft Evolution or EVO server for 51 episodes, his now third-longest running series after Hermitcraft Season 6 and hermitcraft season 7.
Grian's channel exploded quickly, and was one of the fastest-growing channels on YouTube for a short while, after uploading the video, "5 Easy Steps To Improve Your Minecraft House".
Many of his tutorials focus on how to improve existing builds and often focus on how to improve building skills in specific areas, such as building pillars, towers, roofs, and rustic houses, a subject which has become something of a running joke on the channel.

In MumboJumbo's Season 7: Episode 44 , he states that he just got back from a road trip in his VW bus, most likely the Minecraft Earth road trip, indicating that the trip most likely occurred in early September.
Grian is a recurrent player in the Minecraft Championships, playing since the 6th monthly Minecraft Championship. He has gone on to participate in the 6th, 7th , 9th , 11th , 12th and 13th monthly Minecraft Championship in Season 1, and has participated in the 14th , 15th , 16th , and 17th monthly Minecraft Championship in Season 2.
