I'm surprised this made it into the release of the game. Hopefully they patch this quickly when they realize how many ways this is an inconvenience, and not just in the "no manipulating save points to your advantage" way.
Actually you can make the game works for two or more people. You just have to save the save files every time you use the game with one user and rever them back, and do the same with the other person that want to use the game.
